We appreciate your visit here and invite you to view our entire website. Our facility is licensed (#343622130) by the State of California for a total of 12 children ages 0-5 years old (4 infants or toddlers, and 8 preschoolers).

While specializing in growth and development, we strive to provide a safe, comfortable, fun, stimulating, and educational environment for children. We have "Circletime" every morning Monday through Thursday at 9:00am for approximately an hour where we teach the beginning fundamentals of language, math, writing, and include other activities (storytime, stickers, coloring, etc.).

On "Fun Friday" we do arts and crafts, or other activities (playdoh, puzzles, etc.). We believe children learn through hands-on experience and having a balance between "initiated" activities at Circletime and "choice" through play. We make learning fun!

"Play" provides fundamental experiences so children can learn by asking their own questions and figuring out their own answers, and will see themselves as explorers, discoverers, problem-solvers, and inventors while developing a passion for learning.

Each child is a unique individual proceeding at his/her own pace through predictable development stages. We do not pressure any child for a result, but instead encourage them to proceed at their own level.

North Sac Childcare is owned and operated by Marcia Martinez. She graduated from Sacramento City College in 2000 with an honors degree in Early Childhood Education, and with Certificates as Master Infant Teacher, Master Preschool Teacher, and Center Director Supervisor. Her ambition from the beginning has always been to open a facility to care for and teach infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Marcia has had a licensed childcare facility since 2007. Formally located in the South Natomas area, she relocated to North Sacramento in 2017 to a larger newly built home (Norwood exit north above the I-80).

Prior to opening in 2007, Marcia worked for 8 years at some of Sacramento’s finest franchised childcare centers, at Sacramento City College as a Preschool Teacher on campus, and at privately owned childcare centers. She gained experience not only as a Teacher, but also skilled as an Administrator in the field.

Marcia’s daughter, Jantel Wells, joined staff in 2018. She worked in the college childcare facility at "UC Merced" gaining experience on the Infant / Toddler side of their center. She has also been assisting and gaining experience at her mom’s facility since the age of 11-years-old after school.

North Sac Childcare also has 2 substitute teachers that work as needed on-call. Marcia wears many business "hats" for North Sac Childcare, but all teachers work together wonderfully as a team to keep the facility clean, disinfected, organized, and to supervise the children.

Every employee that works full-time, part-time, or on-call at North Sac Childcare has passed State and Federal fingerprint clearance, and has been trained in CPR (Infant/Children/Adults) and First Aid.

The facility has passed all inspections from the Sacramento Fire Department, and from California State Community Childcare Licensing.

We are setup in a home-environment with the center-environment concept. We provide indoor learning as well as outdoor learning (weather permitting). All of us at North Sac Childcare take pride in our services, and we are passionate about our career field. We love what we do!

We provide childcare services weekly Monday through Friday 6:00am to 6:00pm.

Tuition is based on the 5-day week and must be paid in advance every Friday for the upcoming week, bi-weekly, or on the 1st day of each month upcoming. Monthly tuition is calculated by the weekly fee x 52 weeks divided by 12 months. A 10% discount is available to the second / third child from the same family.

Enrollment begins with a tour, and a completed "Family Application and Agreement" along with the non-refundable $20 enrollment fee.

If there is space available you will receive the full enrollment package. The final stage of enrollment includes the Parent Handbook and other required handouts from State Licensing.

If there is NOT a space available, you have the option to put down a 1-week deposit to hold the next spot. If you do not put down a deposit to guarantee holding the spot, there is no guarantee it will be available when you want to enroll.

We are on a State / Federal Food Program that meets their USDA requirements for all meals. We offer healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack.
